About the painting:
Em Nazih Cafe is a well known restaurant in Gemayze, Mar Mkhayel in Beirut that was destroyed by the catastrophic explosion of Beirut on the 4th of August 2020.
This place was like a home filled with memories to almost everyone who visited it.

This particular location held so much memories to me. It felt like home, it was relaxing, the people there were beautiful and kind. I have had unforgettable meaningful memories there. I was saddened, like so many others, by the news and that the owners will not be able to rebuild this beautiful place.
I illustrated this famous alleyway that leads you to the restaurant to keep these memories and to remind everyone how amazing it was and will always be in our hearts.

By drawing this, it made me recall all the happy times spent there.
